The Russell Springs Spring Fest was held over the weekend on Main St. in Russell Springs and saw hundreds of people come to the event.
“I would like to take this opportunity to offer my heartfelt thanks to the Downtown Revitalization Committee for their hard work prior to and during the Spring Festival,” said Mayor Hollis DeHart.
“I will not attempt to put everyone’s name here for fear of missing someone but each of you know who you are.”
DeHart said he also wanted to thank the merchants for their tolerance, the vendors, the judges for the various events, city workers, people who loaned equipment, the car clubs and car owner, and the Masonic Lodge.
“Thanks to everyone who helped make this event better than anyone expected,” he said.
The Russell Springs Downtown Revitalization Committee had planned the event for months and their work paid off with relatively good weather and high attendance numbers.
