Before you can vote in the general election this November there would need to be someone to vote for and when it comes to some city races it isn't clear yet who that would be.
For the mayors' races in both cities there remains only one candidate.
In Jamestown Terry K. Lawless, the city's retired utilities director, is the only candidate, while in Russell Springs incumbent Mayor Hollis DeHart is running unopposed.
In the race for Jamestown City Council are incumbents Larry Joe Murray and Terry Edward Robertson are the only candidates for the 6 seats.
Vying for the six seats on the Russell Springs City Council are incumbents Ray Barrett, Eric Selby, Timmy Hudson, Lisa Mann, David Blakey, and Ricky Barnes.
County Clerk Lisha Popplewell stressed that completed forms must be turned into her office before 4 p.m. on August 10th to get a candidate's name on the ballot.
