Around 3 p.m., 57-year-old James O. Johnson apparently lost control of his 2001 Harley-Davidson motorcycle, left the roadway and struck a utility pole.
He was air-lifted from the scene by Air-Evac emergency helicopter and flown to the U.K. Medical Center where he later died.
Johnson was employed by the U.S. Corps of Engineers as a berm inspector at Wolf Creek Dam and worked more than 35 years with the federal government, with 27 years as an electrician in the dam's power plant.
