In Aug. 19 IssueChalk one up for Lake Cumberland. Rather chalk one up for the marinas and the organizers of the Lake Cumberland Raft Up.
It costs several thousand dollars to stage the event but it was most, most successful.
Planners and organizers had to pay Guinness Book of records several thousands of dollars to travel from England to cover the event, in case a new record was established.
The event was successful and already favorable publicity is being circulated throughout the states.
What a blessing to finally hear favorable remarks about Lake Cumberland along with photos showing the lake is not dry and showing Wolf Creek Dam still in tact.
We compliment the organizers and the marinas and all others that assisted with the event.
It is great to see events that promote Lake Cumberland and not just one county or one section.
