Cruisin': Another Level car show
In Oct. 9 Issue
Russell County News
By Ron Cowell, Columnist

Last Saturday, October 2nd Another Lever Car Club held their annual car show at Highway 80 Auction on 127. It could not have been a more perfect day. The weather was perfect and it was a fun day for all who attended.

Kevin Johnson and Amber Bledsoe along with the rest of the club went above and beyond to make sure everyone was happy and had a good time. I said it last year and will have to say it again, this is one of the best and most organized car shows of the year.

The DJ of the Car's, "Charlie Napier" was on hand filling the air with music that put you back in time and made you forget the worries of the day. The Club provided plenty of food and drink for the day and had breakfast and lunch available. On top of that there were some of the nicest and most beautiful cars, trucks and motorcycles on hand on display, and once again old friends meeting and catching up on the events of the year gone by. Oh yea, true car lovers swapping stories about cars and days gone by.

The club did an excellent job in judging once again this year. It was a tough job for them I know. I'm glad I wasn't one of them who had to decide on the winners.

Due to space I won't list the top 50 winners but congrats to all of them.

The winners of the specialty awards were;

BEST PAINT on a 2000 Chevy Silverado was Justin Pruitt

BEST INTERIOR LATE MODEL, 2000 Dodge Dakota, Drew Berry.

BEST LATE MODEL ENGINE, 1990 Mazda Miata, Jim Sears

BEST MINI TRUCK, 1991 Toyota Pickup, Jason Phelps

BEST IMPORT, 2008 Scion XB, Houston Steenbergen

BEST FULL SIZE, 1987 & down, 1955 Chevy Pickup, Billy Lawson

BEST FULL SIZE 1988 & up, 1997 Chevy C 1599, Randy Hoggard

Best 4 X 4, 1991 Toyota, Robert Bohannon

BEST SUV, VAN, 2002 Chevy Trailblazer, Shane Wilds

BEST CAR AUDIO, 2004 Chevy Colorado, Glen Carver

BEST FORD MUSTANG, 2005 Mustang, Donald Sanders

BEST PAINT, 1966 Chevy Nova, Shorty Hancock

BEST INTERIOR, 1971 Chevy Pickup, John Meredith

BEST ENGINE, 1930 Model A, Larry Mathews

BEST MOPAR, 1969 Plymouth Roadrunner, Larry Wilson

BEST RAT ROD, 1936 Dodge 2 door sedan, Damon Kemarly

BEST UNFINISHED, 1989 Ford Ranger XLT, Bill Johnson

LADIES CHOICE, 1954 Ford Victoria, Carroll Rousey

As you can see just from the winners of the show, and the Top 50 winners there were plenty of super sharp vehicles on hand.

Hats off to ANOTHER LEVEL Car Club on another great show this year. Everyone is looking forward to next year already.

If you know someone you would like to see featured in my article or your club has an upcoming event you like to let everyone know about send the information to  djron47@yahoo.com, and we'll get it in here for you. If your group or club is having an event and you would like to have some of the Classic Cars there for display any of the local clubs would be glad to bring their cars out to show, (weather permitting). All information needs to be in at least two weeks before the event. Until next time, Keep Cruisin' !
