Laker Fall Preview gets swim season underway

In Nov. 24 Issue

The RCHS Laker Swim Team hosted the Laker Fall Preview Meet November 20,2010 at the Russell County Natatorium.

13 teams participated in the meet from Collins, Shelby, Berea, Taylor, Campbellsville, Rockcastle, Marion, Scott, Meade, Western Hills, Frankfort, Franklin and Russell.

After morning prelims the Lakers had 18 swimmers qualify for the finals and at the conclusion of a very exciting finals the Lakers finished 4th overall, only 9 points from 3rd place.

Meade County took 1st place for the second year in a row.

The Laker mens team finished 2nd overall and the Laker women finished 6th.

Dustin Ballanger received the Freshmen Mens High Point award and the entire team pulled stellar times out for the day with this season looking to be very exciting and rewarding for this young Laker team. Congratulations to Coach Wade and Loy and the entire Laker Swim Team.
