In Dec. 2 IssueIf you have not slowed down and taken a good look recently, you need to do so at Main Street, Russell Springs.
No, you’re not going to get confused and think you’re on Broadway in New York, but, you will note a very noticeable, crisp and clean improvement, a very needed improvement.
We would like to thank, the mayor, all the councilmen and all the city employees for their efforts and input into these notable additions and renovations.
The park area and the new fencing make a very neat section and the fence and fountain addition by Kenvie Reese and company makes for a very attractive means of beautification.
It is amazing what some paint, awnings and imagination will do.
Seriously, when you see Mayor DeHart, the council members and the city employees, thank them for their efforts and encourage them to keep up the good work.
We should also thank David and Suzanne Harris for all their efforts in improving the view on Main Street.
They fix up, fix up and fix up but it seems several other have other ideas in mind as accident, after accident tears down.
We would also like to give appreciation to all those involved with the recent Thanksgiving/Christmas parade. A very, very nice presentation, well organized and extremely well presented. We have to express thanks to all of those involved in the parade. There were some terrific floats and presentations and a great community effort. Thanks to all.
