Merry Christmas! This special day has arrived. I would like all of you to take time today to praise God and if you are a non-believer, then you might want to pick up a bible and read what all the celebration is about.
Two thousand and ten years ago, God gave us his Son, in the same form as you and I. Matthew 1:20-23 says, "But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, 'Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit.
She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.' All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: 'The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel' - which means, 'God with us.' As we move into the New Year, let us commit to one another to not let anyone or anything destroy this wonderful Republic that our forefathers so graciously gave us. Let us put God first in our lives and turn the controls over to him! I would like to dedicate to all my readers that should provide wisdom and direction for us all. It is called, "The Seasons in Life"
There was a man who had four sons. He wanted his sons to learn not to judge things too quickly. So he sent them each on a quest, in turn, to go and look at a pear tree that was a great distance away. The first son went in the winter, the second in the spring, the third in summer, and the youngest son in the fall. When they had all gone and returned, he called them together to describe what they had seen. The first son said that the tree was ugly. Bent, and twisted. The second son said it was covered with green buds and full of promise. The third son disagreed; he said it was laden with blossoms that smelled so sweet and looked so beautiful, it was the most graceful thing he had ever seen. The last son disagreed with all of them; he said it was ripe and drooping with fruit, full of life and fulfillment. The man then explained to his sons that they were all right, because they had each seen only one season in the tree's life!
He told them that you cannot judge a tree, or a person, by only one season. That the essence of who they are, and the pleasure, joy, and love that come from that life, can only be measured at the end, when all the seasons are up. If you give up when it is winter, you will miss the promise of your spring, the beauty of you summer, and the fulfillment of your fall. Don't let the pain of one season destroy the joy of all the rest. Don't judge life by one difficult season. Persevere through the difficult patches, and better times are sure to come in time. Aspire to inspire, before you expire! Live simply, love generously, care deeply, speak kindly and leave the rest to God! Happiness keeps you sweet, trials keep you strong, sorrows keep you human, failures keep you humble, success keeps you growing, but only God keeps you going!
I want to thank all of you for being an important part of the seasons of my life and God Bless you and keep you in his care through all the seasons of your life!
