Beginning this week the Times Journal will report weekly on court findings in Russell County. The findings will come from the District Court and Circuit Court and will be from the preceding week's court sessions for both civil and criminal cases.

The new feature "Court Report" will report on court cases where the finding is guilty, whether plead by the defendant or so judged. Continuations, pre-trial conferences and court date settings will not be reported, nor will case reviews unless defendant is found guilty on an additional charge.

When reporting the court news it is important that the Times Journal remain completely objective. All cases found guilty will be reported with no favoritism tolerated. This includes the staff of the Times Journal, the Russell County News-Register, or friends and family thereof.

Every attempt to report with 100 percent accuracy will be made. Due to difference in time and format of court docket filings there may be a longer delay for reporting of Circuit Court findings than for District Court findings. The date the court proceedings occurred will be made clear either at the beginning of the reportage on the court findings or within the particular case.

The new feature will begin as a weekly segment, subject to change to a monthly feature depending on best format. We expect in the future to begin reporting on land transfers and filings for weddings.

Kaylin S. Cochran - Disregarding traffic control device/traffic light, careless driving. $50.00 fine and 6 months diversion.

Sherry Copley plead guilty multiple counts theft by deception including cold checks under $500.00. Sentenced 60 days suspended on condition she pays $50.00 a month until checks paid.

Jenny R. Frazier - Speeding 21 MPH over speed limit, full cost, 6 month diversion paid before 5/9/2011.

Silvio Langino Teodoro plead guilty to no operators/moped license - fine $25.00. Failure to produce insurance card - fine $25.00 to be paid before 3/28/2011.

Jonathan D. West - Failure to wear seat belts, six months diversion.

Joshua M. Flatt - Improper passing - $50.00 fine, 6 months diversion

Jonathan B. Kemper - Speeding 10 MPH over limit, $50.00 fine, 6 months diversion.

Rhonda S. Blankenship - Pled guilty to possession of controlled substance 2nd degree 1st offense - Sentenced 365 days probated 2 years on condition enrollment and completion of long term (60 day minimum) drug rehab, no violations of Ky. Law, no contact with Jamestown Valu-rite.

Joseph Bolin- pled guilty to No/expired registration plates, failure to wear seat belts - $25.00 fine on each offense.

Jamie M. Daniel - Public intoxication controlled subs (excludes alcohol), use/possess paraphernalia, 1st offense, possession controlled substance 3rd degree 1st offense drug unspecified, 2 charges of controlled substance prescription non in original container 1st offense. Sentenced 180 days probated for 2 years on condition of no violation of law.

Nathan P. Harden - Failure to wear seat belts - diversion one year with no like offenses, pay fine and court costs. Failure to produce insurance card - $25.00 fine. Obstructed vision and/or windshield diversion one year with no like offense.

Danny D. Hill- Alcohol intoxication in a public place 1st and 2nd offense - diversion one year with no violations of the law.
