In Feb. 5 IssueA two-vehicle wreck Tuesday on the Russell-Casey line injured a Danville man who was later charged with DUI and failure to maintain required insurance, according to the Kentucky State Police.
Trooper Kenny Perkins is investigating the collision which occurred at 1 p.m. on US 127, seven miles north of Russell Springs.
A 1985 Ford pickup being driven by Bradley Byrd, 28, of Danville was traveling south on US 127 when he lost control in a curve, traveled into the northbound lane and struck a 1997 Chevrolet Van driven by Jodi Dilsaver, 36, of Dunnville.
Dilsaver and a passenger, Michael Wilson, 59, of Dunnville were not injured. Byrd was transported to Russell County Hospital by Russell County EMS where he was treated for his injuries. Byrd was later charged by authorities with DUI and failure to maintain required insurance.
Trooper Perkins was assisted at the scene by Russell County EMS and Casey County EMS.
