In March 17 IssueJack B. Miller, our friend and a great friend to Russell County.
We firmly believe that Jack B. Miller is in a class of his own when it comes to integrity, honesty, and a true concern about his fellow beings.
We met Jack Miller when we first came to Russell County in 1969. He and the late Andrew Norfleet were friends and through their association got to know Jack Miller.
Don’t believe we have ever met a County Judge that expressed his concern and went the extra mile like Judge Miller. Not only did he do this from the bench, he also did this in his daily walk with life. He was everybody's friend.
Jack was a great story teller. He was one of the few in this county with such a gift of telling stories and he was certainly full of stories from his years on the bench.
There was nothing like being with Jack Miller, Charles Aaron and others and being able to enjoy their stories.
It is such a shame to wait until it is too late and then realize what a wealth of information has left us and what a loss for our county.
Jack Miller will always be remembered for his years of service to the county and to this community.
Our sincere sympathy to the Miller family.
