In April 14 IssueThe Los Agaves II Mexican Restaurant in Jamestown was robbed of an "undetermined" amount of money just after 7 p.m. Sunday, according to Sgt. Jeff Kerns with the Jamestown Police Department.
Police said a white male subject with blonde hair and buzz cut, about 6 ft tall with a medium build and in his mid 20's entered the restaurant, went behind the counter and took a bank deposit bag along with several checks.
The suspect was wearing a blue and white plaid shirt with khaki pants, according to police.
After leaving the restaurant, the suspect got into either a black or dark gray Chevrolet S-10 with tinted windows and believed to be driven by a white female, with another white male inside.
The suspect's vehicle was last seen traveling northbound on U.S. 127.
Jamestown Police Chief Derek Polston said no weapons were involved in the incident and that the restaurant was open and serving customers when it occurred.
Polston said customers, including an off-duty state police officer, were unaware of the crime until after the suspect had left the restaurant.
Police investigated a potential lead on Monday, but that ended up not going anywhere and officials are continuing to investigate.
Law enforcement would like to caution businesses to be wary of keeping large amounts of cash on hand that is easily accessible.
