In April 21 IssueOn Saturday the RCHS track team participated in the Great Gator Invitational at WKU.
The Lakers participated against 10 other teams, placing 5th overall.
In boys action, Blake Ellis placed 3rd in 100 M Intermediate Hurdles and 2nd in 300 M Low Hurdles. Nick Britt placed 7th in the 100 M Dash, Evan Fletcher, Britt, Ellis and Jeron Hammond placed 5th in the 800 M Relay, Luis Medrano, Jacob Grimes, Bryce Anderson and Trevor Robertson placed 6th in the 3200 M Relay while Ellis, Robertson, Fletcher and Hammond placed 4th in the 1600 M Relay.
Fletcher, Britt, Hammond and Justin Roy placed 2nd in the 400 M Relay while Fletcher placed 6th in the 200 M Dash.
Matt Adams placed 7th in shot put and 2nd in discus while Britt placed 3rd in the long jump.
In girls action, Bailey Bean placed 4th in the 100 M Intermediate Hurdles while Bailey Phillips places 5th in th same event.
Bean also placed 2nd in the 300 M Low Hurdles while Madison Loy placed 8th in the 100 M Dash.
Placing 3rd in the 800 M Relay was Loy, Emily York, Bean and Heather Sinclair.
Placing 7th in the 3200 M Relay was Gabby Bean, Danielle Walters, Izzy Bean and Maddie Blankenship while the team of Bailey Bean, Loy, York and Sinclair placed 2nd in the 1600 M Relay.
In the 400 M Relay it was the team of Janzen Cundiff, Hillary Hamm, York and Sinclair placing fourth.
Emily Wilson captured first place in discus and 5th place in shot put while Selena Padilla placed 2nd in the high jump.
The event was won by Warren Central with Bowling Green taking second place.
Third place was taken by Warren East while Muhlenberg County finished in fourth place.
As stated earlier, the Lakers finished fifth followed by Logan County, Greenwood, South Warren, Todd County, Ohio County and Franklin Simpson.
