In May 12 IssueThe Russell County Laker baseball team went 3-0 in varsity action since last Thursday as they knocked off McCreary Central 9-6, Lincoln County 9-2 and Southwestern 6-2.
Against the Warriors Russell County’s Caleb Russell pitched the complete game to pick up the win. He had three strikeouts in the game.
Taylor Hutchison was 3-3 with 3 RBI while Evan Selby and Garret Stephens each picked up an RBI. Blake Aaron was 3-4 and scored three runs.
In Friday’s game against Lincoln County Laker pitcher Martin Cross picked up the win on relief of Tyler Robertson.
Jalen Bennett was 2-3 with 3 RBI while Robertson was 3-4 with two RBI. Jared Coffey and Evan Selby each also picked up one RBI a piece.
Against McCreary County Hunter Best picked up the victory on the mound. Best tallied three strikeouts.
C.J. Bray, Blake Aaron and Tyler Robertson each picked up two RBI in the game while Taylor Hutchison had one RBI.
Aaron went 3-4 from the plate in the game.
