In July 7 IssueBy Kim GrahamTimes Journal ReporterAfter an undercover operation last weekend, two arrests were made on drug trafficking charges.
Justin Weddle, age 26, and Nickole Tarry, age 21, both of Russell Springs, were charged with Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 2nd Degree just after 2 p.m. Saturday, according to police records.
"We staged an undercover drug buy at the Minute Mart in Jamestown," said Russell County Deputy Sheriff Nick Bertram.
Bertram said he later made a traffic stop of the vehicle and seized $820 in cash along with numerous types of the same prescription pills law enforcement had bought in the undercover operation.
Charges were filed in connection with alleged illegal sells of prescription pills.
Weddle and Tarry were lodged in the Russell County Detention Center under a $2,500 cash bond.
Russell County Deputies Jason Wariner, Lee Smith and Nick Bertram assisted in the investigation and arrests.
