In July 23 IssueThe Russell County Fiscal Court met in a special session on Thursday to take care of a few items of business.
Judge-Executive Gary Robertson said that the three bid advertisements for a part time maintenance person for the new Judicial Center yielded only two bids, one of which did not comply to bid requirements.
Hired for one year, part time to the position was Dwight Kerr, contingent upon showing proof of workers compensation insurance and maintaining one million dollar liability insurance.
The bid was accepted at $14,540.
The county maintains responsibility for material needs.
These monies are reimbursed through the Kentucky Administrative Office of the Courts.
The court voted to accept one of two bids for recycle trailers. The winning bid was with Gene Smith's Kentucky Recycle Trailers at $8,700 per trailer. The money to pay for the trailers was received by grant monies.
After paying of bills received after the regularly scheduled Fiscal Court meeting, two roads were voted into District 4 under Magistrate Jimmy McQueary; Deerfield Lane at .260 miles, and Ormanay Lane at .127 miles.
With no further items on the agenda the meeting was adjourned.
