today announced plans for an educational forum on oversize/overweight hauling –
the first of its kind in Kentucky.
Burkesville man sentenced for assaulting forest ranger

FRANKFORT, Ky. — As part of a plea bargain, Todd Anderson of
Burkesville has pleaded guilty to first-degree criminal mischief and
second-degree assault in Cumberland County Circuit Court for striking a
Kentucky Division of Forestry ranger fighting a wildfire on his property.
Anderson was sentenced five and eight years respectively, to be served
concurrently.

over 1,600 re-enactors have attended the Battle of Sacramento held each year at
the site in which the actual battle occurred.This year, troops are coming from as far away as Michigan, Wisconsin,
Texas, Mississippi, Georgia and Arkansas to participate in this year’s event
and they are bringing their horses!
SCC is ranked 16th best place to work of large organizations in Kentucky
Somerset Community College was selected as the 16th Best
Place to Work in Kentucky among large organizations at the Fourth Annual Best
Places to Work in Kentucky Awards Dinner held on Thursday, April 17, at the
Lexington Convention Center. SCC has been named as one of the best places to
work in Kentucky for three of the four years that the competition has been in
existence. This year’s ranking was SCC’s best showing so far.
